Four weeks after the first wave of UAW strikes against Detroit’s Big Three automakers, UAW President Shawn Fain today announced a new phase and a new approach to their strategy. Rather than the highly anticipated weekly announcements as has become the pattern since the beginning of the strike, Fain now plans to call on workers to strike at any time, as we saw in Wednesday evening’s action against Ford’s Kentucky Truck Plant.
